Apple CEO Says, Apple will Beat PC Sales, Is It Possible?
The success of Apple iPad tablet computer made him more confident. Apple CEO Tim Cook, believes in a few years, sales of iPad coupled with other tablet PCs will surpass sales of laptop and desktop.
“From the first day iPad shipped, we think that the tablet market will be bigger than the PC market. I believe it is stronger at the moment,” said Cook who became the successor to the late Steve Jobs is.
Introduced in 2010, the iPad is quickly becoming one of the most popular Apple products, and always beat the sales of Mac computers in every period of sales per quarter. Sales reached more than 55 million units to date.

The success of tablet is supported by innovations on hardware and applications. Cook’s argument according to research firm IDC estimates, the estimates of 2012 the majority of internet users in the United States will be online via smartphones and tablet, not a PC.
