Best 10 Anti Virus for Android Gadgets
Testing of 41 antivirus applications on the Android platform shows only 23 applications that effectively inhibit the rate of the threat of viruses or malicious software (malware).
“Some parts of the report and our test methodology is considered inappropriate or disabled by the developer,” said Andreas Marx, AV-Test leader, one of the examining body of independent information technology security in Germany.
Testing conducted by AV-Test focuses on the application the ability to withstand network malware attacks than per unit. In a report published March 15, AV-Test Provider Company called 10 Best Android antivirus that can detect over 90 percent of malware on the Android platform.
The ten companies that are Avast, Dr. Web, F-Secure, Ikarus, Kaspersky, Lookout, McAfee, MYAndroid (MyMobile Security), NQ Mobile/NetQin, and Zoner.
The rest, as many as 13 products capable of detecting 65 to 90 percent of malware is AegisLab, Mobilation AVG, BitDefender, BullGuard, Comodo, ESET, Norton / Symantec, QuickHeal, Super Security, Total Defense, Trend Micro, VIPRE / GFI, and Webroot.
“The products (13 products above) can also be a reference. They simply failed to detect one or two network malware that may not be prevented in certain circumstances,” writes the AV-Test in a report.
