ChildPad, “Ice Cream Sandwich” Android Tablet Special for Children

Allotment tablet computer users not only special for adults, children can use to learn and play. If during this time, they just borrow owned by his father, now there is a tablet that is designed specifically for children.

Archos ChildPad, is a 7-inch Android tablet that had been produced for children. Although for children, tablet is running on Android operating system 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Tablet also comes with a 1GHz processor with 1 GB of RAM.

Because it is for children, display tablet interface consists of a colorful icon comes home screen that helped direct access to games and puzzles. Available pre-loaded applications specifically for children such as Angry Birds, Pig Rush, and Flight Frenzy.

Kids Childpad App Store also features built by AppsLib. Kids App Store is equipped with 14 categories of “friendly” for children and 10 thousand applications including games, multimedia, and sports.

Tablet also features a Parental Control and Safe Web Browsing to help parents control activities of children on Internet.

Archos as producer, states that have gone through regulatory Childpad Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) and Children’s Online Privacy Protection (COPPA). Two of regulation is done to ensure safety of these products for children.

Childpad will be available at all retail by end of March 2012 at a price of 129 U.S. dollars. But Archos still has not provided data, which countries will receive a distribution of this tablet.
