We know my readers have their fingers firmly on the pulse of what’s happening in the hip-hop world, so we don’t need to tell you that Meek Mill broke a datpiff.com record today with an unprecedented 2 MILLION downloads in one day. Only 5 artists have even broken 1 million. Those artists being superstars (read: boring pop musicians) like Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne.

We was immediately disinterested in Meek Mill as he’s signed to Rick Ross’s imprint Maybach Music Group. Rick Ross is a correctional officer turned gangster rapper. So basically, a total poser, bro. His albums are entertaining and we’ve been known to partake here and there, but he’s just completely full of shit.

We’re going to give credit where it’s due and say that Meek Mill definitely has skills. His flow is impeccable and the choice of beats for the most part on this mixtape are all hard as nails(assuming he handpicked them himself. Who knows?)

There’s way too many poppy tracks on here for me, which we guess is how you get 2 million downloads, and there’s practically zero talk of drugs or violence (A requirement IMO.)

Guests include: Drake, Big Sean, Rick Ross, Mac Miller, Wale, and Fabolous. At least he got French Montana on there.
